Trees are one of humanity's most important cultural symbols.
The tree of Life. Oxygen. Breathing. Roots. The passing of time, reverence, and usefulness.
Trees and forests provide space for calm, contemplation and reflection over tangible and intangible events within and outside ourselves.
In her creations, Liliya Vlahovic looks at, embraces, and shapes her trees with reflection, playfulness, and skill. Made of thin metal wire and with patient hands, she creates vivid sculptures that she afterward stages and photographs skilfully.

"We are thread. Many threads. Straight, curved, thin, strong, beautiful, different. Soft, hard, sharp. Learn to handle. Learn to listen. 300, 600, 1000 threads. We create ourselves. Let others do it too. Who do we become in a process? Who are we becoming through life? "
